Peter Morgan is the president and CEO of Morgan:Newsletters and Publishing Ltd., of
Vancouver, Canada, a business-to-business communications and marketing
consulting service that began in 1985.
Morgan:Newsletters is a marketing consultantcy that specializes in publishing newsletters and
magazines for other organizations. These pubications are sponsored by
corporations, commissions, unions, associations, charities or governments. The
firm also provides consulting services on subscription-based publications on
topics that include tracking high-tech stocks, report on the Canadian
gift-and-tableware industry and follow the business side of the 2010 Winter
Olympics and Paralympics.
In addition, the firm provides consulting on business-to-business
mass-marketing, news and public relations, Internet and World Wide Web content,
direct-mail writing and advertising support. It has provided publications and
communications consulting for a variety of organizations, including McDonald

Peter Morgan, for more than 40 years, has been an integral part of Canada’s mass-communications industry. His work includes two decades as reporter and
editor in radio and television news as well as business newspapers. He was
assignment editor for Vancouver
’s CKWX news department and editor of B.C. Business Magazine for many of those years. He has also managed his own successful consulting firm
for more than two decades.
He has an extremely wide range of skills and experience, which encompass
business-to-business marketing, public relations, award-winning journalistic
writing and editing, community relations, direct marketing and direct mail,
information research, databases,
Internet communications, computers, graphics (including photography and line
art), typesetting, design, layout, and supervision of printing firms and mail
houses.
Peter formed Morgan:News in 1985 after years of editing B.C. Business Magazine, a publication with circulation to more than 80,000 senior executives in
British Columbia. Prior to that work, he was senior reporter for
B.C. Business Week, a respected weekly provincial business newspaper based in Vancouver. Earlier,
he was, for several years, News Assignment Editor for CKWX, one of Vancouver
’s top news-oriented radio stations.
Peter began his career in radio news in 1966 in Victoria, Canada, his home town,
at the city
’s top station, CFAX. His writing honours include the Award for the Science and
Technology Category of the Western Magazine Awards and nominations for the
Royal Bank
’s Best Business Writing Award and for the Canadian Petroleum Association’s Best Resources Writing Award.
For three years, he was also the Chair of the Canadian Constitution Foundation,
a Vancouver-based charitable corporation with the duty to
“defend and protect the values and legal principles of the Canadian Constitution
for the benefit of all Canadians.
“ He was also the Chair of the Association for Upholding the Constitution, a
related charity. He has also served as the president of a large business strata
corporation, and as the president of a large housing cooperative.
In the few hours when Peter’s not working, he enjoys the detective work associated with genealogy. His
family database, which he began in 1996, includes carefully researched
information on 10,300 individuals going back over 10 generations
—so far. He has written and published several biographies from this information.
