Samples of sponsored newsletters
Some companies show off only their best work. This is our USUAL work; these are
just a few samples of newsletters pulled at random from our files, stretching
back to the mid-80s. (Move your cursor over them for variations).
In each case, we worked with management of the organizations—presidents, vice-presidents of marketing, publication directors and the like—so we can incorporate the marketing goals of the organization into the
newsletter or magazine. Everything about the publication, from the look and
feel to the headlines, is focused on appealing to people who make the ‘buying decision’ for the goods and services of our clients.
For example, the BC Legal Management Association’s Topics newsletter is aimed at helping law-firm administrators do a better job.
The Nature Trust’s Natural Legacy focuses on increasing the level of donations and expanding
those following the organization. Nicola Financial Strategies aims to reach
wealthy individuals; McDonald’s The Quarterly Pounder—a great name for a newsletter—made sure restaurant managers across the country were up to date on the
corporation’s latest community-relations projects.
The Dragon is a the magazine of a private school, aimed at ensuring good
relationships between the school and the constantly changing mix of students
and their parents. Chevron’s Neighbourhood News, aimed at keeping friendly community relations for those
who live around a refinery.
What’s Selling tracked the business of gift shops across Canada and Celgar Report,
public relations for the company. Both of these, by the way, are broadsheet
newspapers, hence their odd shape here. You’re looking at the part above the half-page fold.
